Facial lipofilling

Facial lipofilling

Facial lipofilling is a procedure that uses a person’s own fat from certain regions of the body to inject it into those areas that require volume correction. Facial lipofilling is one of the most commonly used methods in aesthetic surgery of facial rejuvenation by restoring a normal facial volume. Compared with other fillers used to fill in facial irregularities and grooves, fat is very well tolerated by the human body, being accepted by the body as a self-graft. Also, it adds regeneration effect to those tissues with which the graft comes into contact.

Procedure:
Takes for about one to two hours.
You will need local or general anesthesia, depending on the area to be treated.

The transfer of the aspirated fat is done in three phases:
1. Aspiration of the fat from the donor area;
2. Fat processing by centrifuging, filtering or rising;
3. Re-injection of fat through a three-dimensional re-implantation technique.

Hospitalization time:
12-24 hours.

Pre-procedure preparation:
Preoperative precautions and recommendations are similar to other aesthetics surgery interventions.

Recovery Period:
You will need analgesic, anti-inflammatory and possibly antibiotic treatment.
You can return to daily activity in 4-7 days after surgery.

Expected results:
In aesthetics surgery, lipofilling is a well-established technique with very good results, minimal risks and quick recovery period.

Excellent results have been proven for:
– Wrinkles and deep grooves running from the nose to the corners of the mouth;
– Remodeling of cheekbones;
– Lip augmentation;
– Temporal lobe volume.

Remember:
Facial lipofilling can be associated with other rejuvenation methods, minimally invasive ones, like PRP, mesotherapy or resurfacing. If needed it can be repeated after a 6 months interval, as an amount of the injected fat will be absorbed  (30- 40 %).
