Gynecomastia
Men’s breast reduction through liposuction.
Men’s breasts are one of the most common areas operated through liposuction along the flanks and the lower and upper abdomen.
A man’s breast contains glandular tissue which if hypertrophied and has predominance of fatty tissue is referred to as gynecomastia. The technique used is fat liposuction, which can be absorbed by this method. It’s a lot more difficult to remove the glandular tissue otherwise.
Before proceeding, a mammography is needed in order to highlight the predominant tissue type.
Pseudo gynecomastia is the hypertrophy in the breast of the fatty tissue that occurs frequently at older men and in those who are relatively obese. It is suitable for liposuction.
Gynecomastia is nothing else than a hypertrophy of the breast caused by the hypertrophy of the glandular tissue. Glandular tissue hypertrophy occurs in 75% of adolescents during puberty and is temporary, for several months.
In 33% of the cases it disappears in one year and in 98% of cases it lasts up to 3 years.
